Realizing Nuclear Disarmament
The Stanley Foundation

The Stanley Foundation convened a mix of UN diplomats and other officials in Tarrytown, New York, February 20-22, 2009, to examine the first steps toward a world free of nuclear weapons. This Policy Memo outlines the key points from the conference discussions, specifically noting that the world has an historic opportunity to make great progress on nuclear arms reductions. The window for movement may only last 1-2 years.

A full report of the conference is forthcoming.
